Kerrville Independent School District

For a little more than thirteen years, Dr. Dan Troxell has been the superintendent of the Kerrville Independent School District. It is a touch ironic that when he came to our humble town that Rotary's own President, Kim Clarkson, was a second grade teacher who be the teacher of his child.
Dr Troxell states that KISD is a strong district that has progressed and grown.
KISD is the only 4A or 5A district with 6 years of consecutively very high level Distinction Assignation. Twice KISD was nominated in the HED District of the Year. KISD students consistently place higher in the AT, SATand AP test the other districts. These are achievements that the district can be proud of along with a O percent drop out rate. This is phantom effort put forth by all Schools in the KISD family.
TIVY is Bi Distinct Champions 5 years as well as Varsity 7 years in a row. The Tivy Air Force JROTC was actively perused for KISD.
Dr. Troxel spoke with pride as he informed the listeners of these facts and achievements and why should he. These achievements for the young people of our community have been accomplished while maintaining the highest financial rating possible for a school distinct during his thirteen years.
