Cancelling meeting

Good Afternoon Fellow Rotarians,
 
With almost everything being canceled or postponed until sometime in April, the Rotary Club of Kerrville’s Board of Directors has made the following decisions:
  1. Our Rotary Meetings will be canceled until at least April 15th.  These cancellations will not count against those Rotarians working towards perfect attendance.  If we can’t meet on that date, we may try to conduct an electronic or conference call meeting;
  2. The Veteran’s Breakfast, initially scheduled for April 17th, has been postponed until a later date
  3. The International Rotary Convention scheduled for June 6-10 has been canceled.
Cruise tickets are available.  Please contact Jeff Harris for your Cruise tickets.  All money is due in April.  Purchasing a book of cruise tickets is an excellent method of contributing to the Rotary Foundation.  We only have a small number of Rotarians in our Club not contributing to the Foundation.  Those individuals could purchase cruise tickets and help make our Club one of the largest clubs in the District with a100% of the membership supporting the Foundation.
 
 
Other Projects – Tammy Prout is checking on several projects that members of our Club could possibly assist with during the Coronavirus crisis.  We’ll alert everyone if one or both of those projects develop.

Dear Satellite and Noon Rotary Members,
 
After careful consideration of the health and safety of our Satellite members, guests and other persons who may have planned on attending the Satellite Rotary meeting scheduled for March 17th, we are taking precautions and cancelling this meeting. 
 
As of right now we will continue to plan to meet on our regular scheduled date in April. Of course this is subjective to the current and ongoing situation regarding the corona virus.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends these actions to combat the virus:
 
·      Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
·      Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
·      Stay home when you are sick.
·      Wash your hands regularly. 
·     Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the
      trash.
·      Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a
       regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and the recommendation from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), The Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Kerrville made the decision to cancel our Rotary Club meetings for the next two weeks.  At that point, we’ll reevaluate the situation and keep you updated.

The Kroc Center has a larger children’s population than normal with spring break activities.  The Kroc Center is aware and supportive of our decision.
 
Rotarians wishing to make up the canceled meetings may participate online at  https://www.rotaryeclubone.org/makeups/articles/.  Please download the attendance information so You will be credited with makeups.
